Talley family finds perfect match for philanthropic effort
The owners of Las Ventanas, Arroyo Grande¹s newest
community of custom home sites, have pledged $1000 from each of the first 15
sales to the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital's Coastal Cancer Care and
Diagnostic Center.
The hospital is one of the most critical institutions in our community,
said Ryan Talley, co-owner of Las Ventanas. And this new center will bring
a nationally competitive standard of cancer care right to our doorstep.
According to Arroyo Grande Hospital Foundation Executive Director, Montisa
Phelan Lopez, On behalf of the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital
Administration and the Foundation Board I would like to thank the Talley
Family for their generosity. The Talley Family has a long history of
commitment to this community and we are honored to be the recipients of
their goodwill.
Predicting that this will be the first of several donations from the
project, the Talley Family will celebrate the grand opening of Las Ventanas
this September during an all-weekend event from the 19th to the 21st.
Founded on a 150-year-old working cattle ranch with scenic Talley Farms and
vineyards as neighbors, Las Ventanas offers 2- or 3-acre parcels on land
that has been protected by a permanent open space agreement.
We wanted a way to share our good fortune as long-time residents of this
beautiful valley, said Talley. The new cancer center was the perfect
choice because in one way or another, it touches us all. And giving away a
portion of the proceeds from Las Ventanas was just the right match.
